Kevin Justice is a seasoned technology leader and educator with over three decades of experience in developing and managing high-impact projects across a wide array of industries, including cybersecurity, e-commerce, and enterprise technology. As the Assistant Professor of Computer Studies at Wor-Wic Community College, Kevin has led the development of the college’s Cybersecurity degree program, aligning the curriculum with industry certifications and securing funding for state-of-the-art training labs. Virtual Cyber Operations Center Grant with Baltimore Cyber
Project Lead
Project lead to implement a grant-based virtual Security/Cyber Operations Center for education of our students and community. Develop curriculum for defending against cyber-attacks as well as penetration testing to be included in our regular course curriculum. Architect a system for future Range control implementing Ansible, Terraform and other orchestration tools to dynamically deliver scenario-based virtual systems and network environments for Red Team/Blue Team exercises.

NSF ATE – “ESTEEM” Project Grant, $350,000

Wor-Wic Community College’s Eastern Shore Technician Education in Electro-Mechanics (ESTEEM) Project will foster the growth of a skilled technician workforce within electromechanical (ELM) industries on Maryland’s Eastern Shore and beyond. The college offers an associate of applied science degree in electro-mechanical technologies (AAS ELM) program, which prepares students with cross-sector skills for positions as industrial maintenance technicians, electronic mechanics/technicians, instrumentation technicians, and many others. The ESTEEM Project will increase program accessibility, retention and completion for traditional and non-traditional students, including incumbent workers seeking to upskill. Specific initiatives of the ESTEEM Project are the: 1) launch of industry-driven and stackable micro-credentials to serve as on- and off-ramps for students; 2) implementation of a flexible laboratory (“flex lab”) model, whereby students can attend and complete laboratory requirements during times that suit their individual needs, and the addition of laboratory equipment to increase accessibility to hands-on practical learning; 3) professional development of ELM instructors to ensure the highest quality technician training and the establishment of Wor-Wic as an authorized training center; and, 4) purposeful outreach, coupled with replication of a successful retention initiative, to diversify enrolment within the ELM program.

By addressing the specific needs of the region's cybersecurity workforce and providing students with the skills and credentials they need to succeed, Wor-Wic is poised to make a meaningful impact on both the local economy and the broader cybersecurity landscape.
